7 Things to do When the Bones are too Brittle


What are the things to do when the bones are too weak? We have decided to write a post for people experiencing brittle or weak bones(osteoporosis)  and the possible remedies to curing this condition. 

Just as we know that bones are the framework of the body which gives the body its structure, shape and keeps the organs in place. We also know that without bones, no one will be able to move or stand erect which means we need to take of the bones just as we do for other organs as well.

What are weak bones? Weak bones (osteoporosis) are bones that lack calcium and other nutrients which make the bone weak, soft or brittle. Brittle bones do result to fractures, lack of stamina, inability to move, decaying bones, cracks and many more. 

People who often fall when they move from one place to another, people who often suffer fractures and people who often suffer from breakage might be suffering from weak or brittle bones which need to protect as fast as possible.

So, the things to do for health conditions like brittle bones include;

1.  Consult the doctor: the first thing you need to do if you often have fractures or when you fall most times is to try as much as possible to consult your doctor. The doctor is in the best position to recommend a therapy, drugs or multivitamin supplements or calcium supplements that will make you stay healthy and fit. 


The doctor will also recommend some calcium rich food that will boost the calcium content of the body which will make your bone strong and balance.
 

2.  Eat Calcium rich foods: Just like I said above that a doctor is in the best position to recommend calcium rich foods for you, some of the highly recommended calcium rich food that is good for correcting lack of calcium in the body includes soft bone, fish, fish bone, milk, sea foods and many more. 

You just need to eat or drink calcium rich foods to gain strength and keep the bones strong and fit.

3. Do Exercise: if you feel your bones are weak due to frequent fractures, weakness, breaking etc you can strengthen your bones into its normal state by doing some fitness exercise that build the bones and make it stronger. 

This exercise includes walking, speed walking, jogging, light jogging, running, yoga, stretches and many more.

4. Vegetables: Most vegetables contain vitamins and minerals that make the bones stronger and not brittle or weak. When you eat more veggies, your body is indirectly accumulating calcium with a primary function of bones and teeth developments. 


Vegetables not only contain calcium but also contain Iron which is responsible for blood formation in the body and this also makes the body stable and healthy. 

5. Calcium supplements
: Calcium supplements that prevent weakness of the bones can be gotten in tablets, capsules, and other package drugs which can be consumed even if you couldn’t get a natural food that contains high amount of calcium in it. A good example is calcium lactates and other calcium tables or supplements.

6.  Fruits: Most fruits especially fresh fruits do contain vitamins and minerals that make the bones stronger and not weak. When you eat fresh fruits, your body is indirectly accumulating calcium with a primary function of bones and teeth developments. 


Fruits does not only contains vitamins and minerals like calcium but also contain Iron which is responsible for blood formation in the body and this also makes the body stable and healthy

7. Lose weight: another way to have stronger and healthier bones is to try as much as possible to do things that will help you lose weight if you are on the plus size. You can probably cut down on fatty foods, sugary foods, high cholesterol, salts and high calorie foods because this food can make you add more weight than you can burn and the effect will be more pronounce on your bones by making it weak as you grow older in age with huge amount of weight.
